Fairmont Banff Springs,

Banff Alberta Canada

CSS 2026 - BANFF ALBERTA

Thank you!

Dear Colleagues and Attendees,

On behalf of the Canadian Spine Society, we would like to sincerely thank you for attending this year’s 26th Annual Meeting in Banff.

What makes our CSS annual meeting special is not simply the program or the venue— it is the people who come together each year; from all corners of the country and beyond; to share ideas, challenge one another, advance our collective understanding of spine care, and create priceless memories of friendship and collegiality. Your participation, engagement, and commitment are what transform our meeting into a true professional community, envied around the world.

Our gathering each year is a moment when our national community pauses to reflect on where we are as a specialty, and where we are going together. The discussions, debates, presentations, and informal conversations that took place at this meeting are what will define the future of spine care in Canada.

In the presidential address, Dr Street and Fisher spoke about several domains that define the role of our society, the responsibilities we share and the opportunities that await us. The research presented at our meeting reflects the intellectual strength of our community and the growing impact of Canadian spine scholarship worldwide. Each of us carries the responsibility of bringing the insights discussed at this meeting back to our hospitals, clinics, trainees, and healthcare systems. The presence of so many trainees and early-career surgeons at this meeting reminded us that the future of our specialty depends on the culture we create—one that values curiosity, rigor, collegiality, and generosity in teaching.

Thank you all for the energy, expertise, and commitment you brought to this year’s annual meeting, and that you continue to bring to the CSS.

We look forward to continuing this work together in the years ahead.

With sincere appreciation,

The CSS Conference Team
